  27. You might want to look if the drive is mounted on top of a metal plate, or
  28. if it is exposed on the underside. I had one that periodically spun down
  29. every once in a while, and traced the problem down to the fact that the
  30. jumper plugs on the drive PCB stuck out too far, and were making contact
  31. (shorting out) with the steel plate underneath that the drive was mounted
  32. on.  This was in an A2000, and the drive was mounted in the 2nd floppy
  33. bay.  Adding small washers between the drive and the plate it was mounted
  34. on raised it up enough to clear the random momentary contact that was
  35. shorting out to the floppy mounting plate.
